FAQs

Why can I not bring children?

This is a peaceful and calming experience which is not every young child’s cup of tea. We believe children aged 13 and above are more likely to benefit from the calm interaction with our animals. There are several animal petting farms located in Gloucestershire so we wanted to provide an experience more tailored to adults and older teens.

Does it cost more to feed the pigs?

No, we provide food to allow you to give the pigs a little snack. They will love you forevermore.

What happens if I’m the only person who books on a group session?

Our pig experiences are subject to a minimum participant numbers so we will contact you to find a suitable date with other attendees.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Bookings are non‑refundable unless the session is cancelled by us.

You may request to move your booking with at least 7 days’ notice, subject to availability.

What happens if the weather is bad?

In the event of bad weather we will contact you to arrange another date for your enjoyment and our for pigs welfare. The decision to postpone will be ours and based on our assessment of the weather forecast and our pigs behaviour. If the weather is unexpectedly foul during your visit, we’ll deploy the British stiff-upper lip and adapt accordingly. We guarantee a piggy tummy rub and a tea/coffee with cake!

Can I bring my well-behaved dog?

Unfortunately, we cannot permit guests to bring their pets to site as unfamiliar pets can cause stress to our pigs, chickens and ducks. If you cannot cope without petting a dog, then Daisy, our resident newfypoo will happily allow you to stroke her…for hours and hours. Our animals have been brought up with her so feel she’s one of the herd / flock.

Yes. The experience is calm, slow‑paced, and fully guided. Many nervous visitors find pigs surprisingly soothing and gentle.

Yes, a variety of gift vouchers are available. They make a lovely, unique, present.

Are your pigs micro-pigs?

While miniature breeds of pigs are real, they can still grow to the size of large dogs or small ponies. Our Kunekune pigs are very small pigs in comparison to UK standard breeds, but will still reach above your knee if they stand on their tippie-toes. They do not consider themselves micro-pigs!

Why does Perfect Pigs logo have a child leading a pig when children aren’t allowd?

Our logo isn’t about children attending the venue. The image of a child leading a pig reflects a traditional symbol of guidance and care, not our entry policy. Our venue remains adults/teen-only simply because it ensures the best possible experience for the type of events we host.
