Pig Experiences
Pig Walking Experience for Adults & Teens

A calm, mindful countryside experience with our friendly Kunekune pigs.
Step away from the noise of everyday life and enjoy a peaceful outdoor experience in the Gloucestershire countryside. Our Pig Walking Experience is designed exclusively for adults and teens who appreciate gentle animals, fresh air, and slow, mindful time outdoors.
Our Kunekune pigs are steady, affectionate, and love human company. Each session is relaxed, in small groups, and paced entirely around the pigs’ comfort and natural curiosity. We also have some friendly sheep who are more than happy to come and say hello and accept a few sheep nuts from visitors.
Introduction: Meet Our Kunekune Pigs

Kunekune pigs are known for their calm nature, charming personalities, and love of a brush and tummy rub. Ours have been raised with kindness and high welfare standards, making them confident, friendly, and a joy to spend time with.
During your visit, you’ll get to know their individual quirks, learn about their care, and discover why Kunekunes are such wonderful companions for smallholders and animal lovers.
What to Expect
A warm, relaxed welcome

On arrival, you’ll be introduced to the pigs who will be accompanying you on the walk.

Our friendly call ducks will also greet you and you will be able to feed them some of their favourite food – peas!
A Gentle Countryside Walk

Our route takes you through natural terrain — grassy paths in an open field where the pigs and sheep love to graze and forage. The pace is slow and steady, perfect for enjoying the scenery and taking photos.
Hands‑On Time with the Pigs
You’ll have the chance to:
- Walk with the pigs
- Give them a scratch and a brush
- Feed them
- Have your picture taken with them
- Observe their natural behaviours
- Meet our friendly sheep
- Feed our friendly call ducks
- Take a seat on benches dotted around the fields to have a chat or simply take in the views
- Ask questions about pig keeping, welfare, or smallholding life
What else is included?

After you have spent time with all the animals you will be invited back to ‘The Hut’ for a cup of tea/coffee and some lovely cake provided by our fantastic local bakery. You will have the opportunity to ask any further questions or simply enjoy a chat while taking in the lovely views of Cheltenham and Gloucester while eating cake. What more could anyone wish for?
Adults & Older Teens Only
To keep the experience calm and peaceful this activity is suitable only for adults and teenagers, it is not suitable for younger children and I’m sure they would find it a little dull.
Small Groups for a Peaceful Atmosphere
We keep numbers low, with a maximum of 6 people, unless you are a private group, to ensure the animals remain relaxed and to give you plenty of personal interaction and space.
Safety & Hygiene
For everyone’s wellbeing:
- Handwashing is required before and after the session. Hand cleaning gels are dotted around the walk for regular use as you will spend a lot of time interacting with the pigs, sheep and ducks. Handwashing facilities are available at the end of that walk and before we have tea and cake.
- No food is allowed in animal areas. the pigs will eat it all!
- Staff are trained in pig handling and animal welfare.
- Sturdy shoes suitable for muddy uneven ground are needed.
- Our pigs don’t mind a little rain but if the forecast is really not great we will contact you to rearrange your day as the pigs may decide to stay in their houses if it is particularly rainy and windy – and who would blame them?
Capture the Moment
Our pigs are very photogenic — feel free to take pictures throughout your walk.
